Why Bohemica Signage

There are a lot of digital signage products out there. Most of them will get content onto a screen — but how they price it, what hardware they lock you into, and how much they help when something goes wrong vary enormously. This page explains where Bohemica Signage is different, so you can decide whether it's the right fit.

Pay only for what's running

You're billed for active screens — the ones you've switched on — and one screen is always free. There's no credit card required to start, and the per-screen price drops as you add more screens. If a screen is deactivated, it isn't counted. See Pricing and Billing Overview for the details.

Use the hardware that suits you

Bohemica Signage isn't tied to one proprietary box. A low-cost Raspberry Pi 5 happily drives Full HD content, an Intel or ASUS NUC handles 4K, and you can bring your own equipment too. Flash the disk image (or order a ready-made bundle) and pair it in minutes. A single device can even drive several screens at once. See Officially supported Players.

Reliable by design

Screens are meant to be left alone, so the player is built to look after itself:

  • Plays offline — content is cached on the device, so a dropped connection doesn't stop playback.
  • Self-healing — a watchdog restarts a frozen player automatically, and the device falls back to its last known schedule if it can't reach the server.
  • Updates itself — player software updates in the background without interrupting what's on screen.

Secure and private

  • Two-factor authentication and Google/Microsoft single sign-on protect accounts. See Two-Factor Authentication.
  • Each organization's data is kept separate.
  • Players talk to the dashboard over encrypted channels and are never exposed directly to the internet.

Built to grow with you

Anything you can do in the dashboard can also be driven through our API, so you can automate workflows or connect Bohemica Signage to the systems you already use. Need a specific feature, export, or report? We'd love to hear about it. Larger deployments can join our enterprise program for priority support and tailored features — and smaller setups are every bit as welcome.
